Is there a deposit needed to reserve the RV rental?

Yes. A valid credit or debit card to cover the first two nights up to $300, whichever is less.

Are there any other fee’s associated with the RV rental?

All RV rentals have a prep fee (preparation), tax, Colorado road tax (CRT) and a processing fee. Tax is generally 8.25%. The prep fee ranges and covers a handful of things for the preparation of the rental. This includes restocking cleaning supplies, toilet paper, return inspection, routine cleaning, washing linens, dumping the tanks, filling the water, topping off propane, thorough cleaning, and the walk-through process. The Colorado road tax is based upon each states DOT tax; currently Colorado is $2.00 per day. The processing fee is 3% to process the RV reservation.

Is there a damage / security deposit needed to rent the RV?

Yes. All of Hightened Path RV’s require a credit hold of $1500 for a Class C and $2000 for a Class A. Trailers and towables range from $500 ~ $1000. This is to cover the insurance deductible in the event of a claim and any minor replacement or repair costs if the vehicle is damaged. This is only an authorization on your credit card and is not taken until time of pickup; similar to a hotel or car rental.

Why is your damage / security deposit higher than other places?

The first reason is our insurance deductible is $1000. The second reason applies to anything over the deductibles such as incidentals, overage fees and anything else that may occur will be covered by the additional funds from the deposit.

What is the cancellation policy should something come up?

Once you receive your confirmation email, you have 48 hours to cancel and you will receive a full refund. After the 48 hours your first two nights deposit (up to $300) will be kept. If the RV reservation was paid in full you will be refunded everything minus the reservation deposit. For any cancellation after the 48 hours, your account will be credited the amount you have paid and the reservation deposit will be valid toward a future rental at any of our locations. You are required to be paid in full 10 days before your rental. Any cancellation within the 10 days of your pickup date will not be refunded under any circumstances. Any monies collected towards your balance will be held for a future RV rental.

Is there a refund for an early return?

No. We have no way to rent the RV once it is returned early. The calendar would show unavailable.

Are there late fees for returning the vehicle late?

Yes. It is $100 for the first hour and $35 for each additional hour. Anything after 5pm is considered another night. Please read the rental agreement for more details.

Are there fees to run the generator?

Yes. In most cases it is only $2 /hour. But make sure to read each RV rental description for the exact cost. If you are renting a generator, it is $40 /day for unlimited use. If you are renting a travel trailer and do not have electrical hookups, it is highly recommended that you use an external generator with at least 2500 watts in the winter or 3500~4000 watts in the summer to run the AC. If you rent a generator from us, you must return the generator rental with a full tank of gas.

What is the extra mileage cost?

As of January 2022, the rates for Class C's are $0.50, for Class A's it is $0.50, for diesels it is $0.50.
